In today’s world where the nation’s children are going to school on line and the nation’s capital can fall in two hours, this film is very important to see. There are three outstanding dilemmas; the mental health dilemma, the democracy dilemma and the discrimination dilemma.
Join us online at 4:15 PM Saturday, February 20th for a screening of “The Social Dilemma.” Then at 6PM, join us for a discussion and Q & A with two amazing speakers. Note: If you are a Netflix subscriber, you can watch the film on your own but we hope you will still join us for an amazing community conversation.
SPEAKERS:
Kendall Kosai is the Associate Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Pacific Northwest Region, a national civil rights organization dedicated toward combating hate and anti-Semitism, promoting equity, and securing justice and fair treatment for all. His portfolio includes strengthening the organization’s community engagement efforts, responding to incidents of hate, managing communication efforts, overseeing the region’s young professional’s program, and overseeing a general advocacy strategy for the offices five state region.
Jon Pincus is a software engineer/entrepreneur/strategist and activist who focuses on justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and intersectionality. His current software project is The Nexus Today, an anti-oppressive news aggregator. For the last dozen years, his research has focused on re-imagining computer science as a social science.
