2020 Meaningful Movies Awards Celebration

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our 2020 Meaningful Movies Awards Celebration. We had a wonderful event celebrating this year’s award winners, watching film clips, and hearing from awardees, venue leaders and supporters! Β

  • SPECIAL FILM EVENT – β€œTrue Justice”October 29, 6PM (PT)

    • This documentary shares Bryan Stevenson’s experience with a criminal justice system that β€œtreats you better if you’re rich and guilty than if you’re poor and innocent.”  The burden of facing this system is explored in candid interviews with associates, close family members, and clients. Trailer.
      NOTE: The Right Livelihood Foundation (known as the “alternative Nobel Prize”) recently announced their 2020 laureatesΒ and Bryan Stevenson is one of the four to be honored — β€œfor his inspiring endeavor to reform the US criminal justice system and advance racial reconciliation in the face of historic trauma.”
