We are hiring! MMP seeks new leader test1

by February 28, 2022 1

test1 The Meaningful Movies Project is recruiting a Manager who shares its values and aspirations to support our network of volunteer-run groups.

For 19 years, in some 30 venues, volunteers across Washington State (and beyond) have organized screenings and facilitated discussions using hundreds of social justice films to inform and inspire social advocacy.

With Covid, the network expanded its programs and participants online.  Going forward the Manager will help the venues get back to in-person events while sustaining the reach and impact of online and hybrid programs.

The Manager will be one of the key representatives for our organization and will work with other nonprofits, filmmakers, activists, issue experts and donors who share our vision for a more just and peaceful world.  We require a leader who can articulate the strengths of the organization and its needs.

The Manager will work with the MMP Board, volunteer committees, and interns on these areas: film recommendations, social media, technology, partnerships, and fundraising.

  •  $30 – $35 an hour, DOE, Half-time/Flexible Hours/Remote/Based in Washington State
  • Will work with the MMP Board to fundraise for either a full-time position or add staff.
  • Meaningful Movies Project has a commitment to racial, gender, economic and social equity and will prioritize candidates who add diversity to the team.

The Meaningful Movies Project is recruiting an energetic and passionate Manager who shares its values and aspirations to support our network of volunteer-run groups. We need a leader to work with the MMP board and advisors to help build the network’s capacity to organize, promote and sustain an impactful calendar of film events.
