Join our Board

The Meaningful Movies Project seeks community leaders who are passionate about social justice and who recognize the importance of the Meaningful Movies model of documentary film screenings followed by facilitated conversation. Individuals who join the Meaningful Movies Project Board of Directors will guide this organization and work to support new and existing Meaningful Movies groups.

Specific needs on the Board include a commitment to help fundraise for the organization, experience with strategic, sustainable organizational growth and a willingness to connect us with your network. We are also looking for expertise in filmmaking, accounting, legal assistance and marketing. The Meaningful Movies Project has a commitment to racial, gender, economic and social equity and will prioritize Board candidates who add diversity to the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a community leader who would like to give time and talent to an organization which is working to create a more peaceful and just world through social justice documentary film events and community building.

The Board of Directors meets every other month and call-in options are available.

How to apply: For more information about Board member responsibilities and expectations, please contact either of our Board Co-Chairs — Ren Dietel (ren@dietelandpartners.com) or Diane Tilstra (mdtilstra@aol.com) — or our Manager, Anne Miller (annemiller@meaningfulmovies.org).  The Board application can be found here. Thank you for your interest.
