Leaders and audience members from our Meaningful Movies Community know about the impact of the social justice documentary films. We know this because of the community conversations we are hosting and the comments we receive from nonprofits and activists who talk about how a Meaningful Movies event inspired people to volunteer and take action to address the issues raised in the film that was shown. The Center for Media and Social Impact (CMSI) has collected general data about the importance and impact of social documentary filmmaking. At the Meaningful Movies Project, we are proud that we are facilitating the kinds of thoughtful conversations, and information sharing that help people move from concern to action.
