Please peruse and use these resources. Pass them on.
One of the many reasons we provide this page is to equip people for a far more meaningful conversation following our screenings. If even a few people look at this information ahead of time, the take-away from these events will be multiplicative. Please let people know that this is available.
And if you have additional resources, please send us links to add. -Thanks!

FROM THE SIERRA CLUB: (http://www.sierraclub.org/washington):
- Please look at (and pass on) this important action alert link (www.sc.org/CoalFreePSE) as far and wide as possible! This is the signature drive for shutting down Puget Sound Energy’s coal plant in MT. We’re working to get 8,000 signatures by the end of the year and can use all the help we can get.
- Beyond Coal Campaign fact sheet — The Beyond Coal Campaign is set up in terms of an umbrella–there is the national “Beyond Coal Campaign”; below that we have also have posted “Beyond Coal Washington”, and then the Coal-FREE PSE campaign.)
- Politico did an awesome story last year on the Beyond Coal campaign that does a great job capturing why the local efforts are so critical–even those seemingly boring utility commission hearings!

FROM SIGHTLINE INSTITUTE: (http://sightline.org)
- Sightline Institute’s Climate and Energy research focuses on what climate change is already costing the Northwest. This research area includes a look at the Northwest’s carbon pricing plans, coal and oil exports, ocean acidification, and more.
- The Thin Green Line is a term that Sightline coined as the Northwest’s fight against fossil fuel exports. This series explains how dirty energy companies need our permission to export oil, gas, and coal to Asian markets. The Northwest will plat an outsize role in determining the planet’s climate future. Here’s a good video explaining the Thin Green Line too.
- Here are daily Northwest climate news picks curated by Sightline. You can sign up for news email updates here.
