Manager Position for the Meaningful Movies Project (MMP)
$25 – $35 an hour: dependent on experience
Part-time/20 hrs per week/Remote
The Meaningful Movies Project has been building community and advocating for peace and justice for close to 20 years. We are currently recruiting an energetic and passionate Manager, who shares our values and aspirations and who will support a network of volunteer-run groups that organize social justice documentary film events. Each Meaningful Movies group is autonomous and our volunteers do a great job of figuring out how to produce events on their own. But, of course, they need help on occasion. Our new Manager will have the privilege of leading and motivating our incredible volunteers – all of whom are trying to make the world a better place as they use the power of film and facilitated discussion to build community, organize, educate, and advocate.
Our new Manager will support both established Meaningful Movies groups as well as new groups and will also work with MMP board-member and advisors to build the network’s capacity to promote and sustain an impactful calendar of film events. Our new Manager must be able to look holistically at our organization as he/she/they will be a key decision-maker and representative for our organization and will build relationships with other social justice non-profits, film-makers, activists, audience members, donors, and others who share our vision for a more just and peaceful world.
MMP has a commitment to racial, gender, economic and social equity and will prioritize candidates who add diversity to the team. We want to change the world for the better, so there’s a lot to do and we need an organized, energetic and committed leader to help us! Interested applicants should email a cover letter, resume and 3 references to jobposting@meaningfulmovies.org
