Come Volunteer with MMP !

by October 12, 2015 4

We’re looking for more volunteers for all venues, and opportunities for involvement are available at all levels.
Help us for just an evening, or on a regular basis helping with setup and operation ofΒ our screenings; Β Or becomeΒ involved in theΒ planning of upcoming film events, help us with gettingΒ the word out, or specific tasks like working with organizing our sizeable film library. Β We can show you all you need to know.

We haveΒ a lot of fun and enjoy working together, both within eachΒ Neighborhood Group and together as a Network. Β We’re all volunteers and work closely in teams, mutually supporting one another. Β And the education, advocacy and community connections we help provide areΒ valued andΒ appreciated greatlyΒ by these communities.

Venues are located all around the Puget Sound. Β See whichΒ location is closest toΒ you:Β https://meaningfulmovies.org/events/locations/.

If you’d like to knowΒ more, please contact us at info@meaningfulmovies.org

Thanks so much!
The Meaningful Movies Team

Currently we’re especially needing additional volunteer support in:
– Beacon Hill
– Queen Anne
– Renton
– Issaquah
– Wallingford
But support in any location is veryΒ appreciated!

In addition, there are a fewΒ specific skills we could really use some help with:
– Bookkeeping
– Marketing & PR
– Fund Raising / Grant Writing
– A/V Tech Skills

AND: If you’d like to explore starting your own Meaningful Movies Group in your neighborhood, please let us know – we’ll do anything we can to help andΒ support you with this!

      Hi Rick,

The West Seattle Timebank could be a good partner. Organizations can give hours to volunteers, so that they can work for a good cause with an incentive.
The organization itself does not have to earn hours in order to give ours (yeah, kind of like banks making money out of thin air…)
I signed up Earthship Seattle. Their next monthly orientation meeting is on Nov 19th, and I’ll be there introducing Earthship Seattle to their group.
Let me know if you have any questions!
      Florian

That would be great Florien. I’ll forward this mesage to the West Seattle Meaningful Movies folks.
I still want to do an evening on Earthships. …maybe this Summer?
        Thanks! -Rick
