We are delighted to have made a connection to the Orca Conservancy (orcaconservancy.org) who will join us for our discussion circle. David Bain a senior scientist and board member will update us on the condition and challengs to the three pods of endangered Southern Resident killer whales. They face an uphill battle from the depletion of prey resources, accumulation of marine toxins an the destruction salmon spawning and nearshore habitats. Also attending is Shari Tarantino who serves as the president of the Board of Directors.
