I was watching this talk by Giroux and was thinking of the learning aspects of the Meaningful Movies charter within the context of his remarks.  Things like education creating agency to enable social action in a society where individualism and wealth have been given primacy over political social action.

I enjoyed watching it for two hours.  You may also.  It is perhaps not ideal for a movie night, but it would be interesting if others think it might work.
