Everett Meaningful Movies and ‘The Social Dilemma’

by February 23, 2021 0

On Saturday, February 20th, the Everett Meaningful Movies group screened ‘The Social Dilemma’ – a powerful film about the dangerous effects of living much of our lives online. After the film, the Everett group hosted a thoughtful and important community conversation about the themes uncovered in the film. Special guests included Jon Pincus – a software engineer/entrepreneur/strategist and activist who focuses on justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and intersectionality; and Kendall Kosai – the Associate Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Pacific Northwest Region, a national civil rights organization dedicated toward combating hate and anti-Semitism, promoting equity, and securing justice and fair treatment for all.

Jon Pincus has written an insightful article about ways to take action to protect our privacy and civil rights which can be found here.
