Join us on Monday, September 16th at 6 PM for a partnership screening of Ultimate Citizens with The Civic Engagement Team at the University of Puget Sound at the Rasmussen Rotunda. Ultimate Citizen is a celebration of resilience and a vision of a more welcoming America. .The film follows Jamshid Khajavi, an extraordinary 65-year-old Iranian American public school counselor, as he mentors the members of an Ultimate frisbee team assembled from the immigrant and refugee students arriving at his inner-city school in Seattle, WA. Charismatic, fiery, and funny, with a Frisbee in hand, Jamshid is the first to show his students that “love wins”—on the field, off the field, at home with family, or boldly forging community in a new country.
