On Friday, August 15th at 7 PM get a chance to meet MMP Manager, Melinda Raebyne along with getting to see her short film For Sale. TRIPOD is hosting a free event featuring artists from Washington. Melinda will be one of these artists. You’ll get a chance to learn more about her film work and what she’s working on.

For Sale was the first public artist piece in Tacoma looking at child sex trafficking, in partnership with Spaceworks Tacoma and Tacoma Arts Commission. Working with a number of sex trafficking prevention organizations and survivors For Sale demystifies mainstream media’s typical portrayal of those who are sex trafficked as minors. From where dates typically take place to the demographics of children who fall victim to trafficking, the movie highlights what people need to know about this important issue. The voices in the film are survivors of child sex trafficking.

Suggested donation of $4.
