This Living Salish Sea
PRESENTED BY: Meaningful Movies Port TownsendPlease join Meaningful Movies Port Townsend for our screening of the visually stunning “This Living Salish Sea” on April 9 at 6:30 PM in the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Sanctuary, 2333 San Juan Avenue in Port Townsend.
“This Living Salish Sea” explores the living treasures of the Salish Sea and the powerful undercurrents of resistance to the corporate fossil fuel agenda that threaten it.
The film follows the rising tide of awakening in mainstream communities as they join forces with First Nations in resistance to plans by multibillion dollar corporations to force through pipelines and tankers carrying tar sands oil, fracked liquid natural gas, and thermal coal shipments.
Join us on April 9 to learn more and add your voice to the conversation about what we can do to help protect the Salish Sea.

Jump into a conversationCan you possibly show this movie again? Some of us who want to see it could not make the April 9 date. Thank you
The Port Townsend Meaningful Movies group won’t be showing the film again; however, there’s a chance that some other organization in Port Townsend may show it. Also, our Gig Harbor Meaningful Movies group will be showing it, and possibly other MM venues, but the screenings aren’t scheduled yet. Please check our website periodically to see when the screenings are scheduled.
You can see this film online but we suggest you come to one of our screenings where you can watch it AND discuss it with others – a much richer experience than viewing it at home alone! Mt. Baker MM will show it 11/29/18. https://vimeo.com/oceanus108/this-living-salish-sea-world-wide-release-2018. Help support the filmmaker’s work by making a donation at http://livingsalishsea.ca/wp/donate-help-fund-this-film/.
I think the discussion with others will be the best part.
