Naomi Klein’s & Avi Lewis’ remarkable film, “This Changes Everything” is being shown in Nov., Dec. & Jan. as a coordinated effort at multiple (13+) Meaningful Movies venues across the Puget Sound – more info on the Meaningful Movies Home Page: HERE.  This is in support of a positive outcome for COP21, and bringing meaningful awareness to what we can all do now to build a carbon-free future for ourselves and our children.

Joining us following the film and then for our discussion will be:
Representatives from 350Seattle.org, and
JESSICA KOSKI with The Sierra Club, who has been working on closing the Colstrip Coal Fired Power Plant in Montana featured in Naomi Klein’s film.

Filmed in nine countries and five continents over four years, This Changes Everything is an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change.  Inspired by Naomi Klein’s international non-fiction bestseller, This Changes Everything, the film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond.
Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Klein’s narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Throughout the film, Klein builds to her most controversial and exciting idea: that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.

“The stakes are too high for us not to make the absolute most of this moment.” – Naomi Klein
