March is National Brain Injury Awareness Month! Did you know that each year, about 2.5 million people have traumatic brain injuries (TBI) of which approximately 50,000 result in death, and over 80,000 suffer permanent disability? The lasting effects can be so severe they can impact a person's mood, personality, career and ability to function independently.During this month, everyone is invited (and encouraged) to raise awareness about traumatic brain injury (TBI) prevention and support improving the quality of life of those who are affected by it.There are some ideas to get involved in brain injury awareness. Happy Down Syndrome Day! A few years back Meaningful Movies Project Manager, Melinda Raebyne, had the honor to create a PSA for the Down Syndrome Community, where she met Holly, Brad and Devon. Three of the most beautiful, caring and inspirational young adults who opened her eyes to the possibility of "what if". The link to the full version is available in the YouTube description.
