Mt Baker Meaningful Movies presents an evening of information and action! We will be showing two short films, The Story of Climate Change and Solutions to Climate Change.

These films feature Bill McKibben from http://350.org, Jim Hansen, Katharine Hayhoe and others who provide updates on the science and solutions to climate change.

After the films, a speaker from Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy will be talking about the work they are doing to get an initiative on the ballot in November 2018 that will put a price on carbon pollution; invest in clean energy solutions; and that will invest in the communities hardest hit by climate change.

There will also be information on how to become a Climate Justice Steward. Climate Justice Stewards are individuals from all our constituency groups – labor, environmental, communities of color, business, faith, health, parents and more – from all over the state who want to help move our work forward. You just need a passion for equitable climate action and a commitment to attend a training and help to mobilize at least 5-10 of your friends, colleagues, and neighbors to help the Alliance pass equitable climate policy in Washington State.

LET’S DO THIS! PUT A PRICE ON CARBON IN WASHINGTON, DECREASE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS, GROW OUR ECONOMY WITH JUSTICE, CREATE GOOD JOBS, AND IMPROVE HEALTH!
