SUMMARY:THE INQUISITOR
DESCRIPTION:The Inquisitor: Meaningful Movies Bellevue is kicking off our 2
026-27 season with a documentary focusing on Texas Congresswoman Barbara J
ordan.  Jordan made history when she became the first Black woman from th
e South elected to Congress. She was a well-known figure during the Waterg
ate hearings against the Nixon administration. She used her sharp mind an
d powerful speaking style to hold leaders accountable to the law.\nThe Inq
uisitor connects her public success with her private challenges\, such as
her struggle with multiple sclerosis and her life as a closeted lesbian\,
and examines how democracy is changing. By showing Jordan’s focus on ho
