SUMMARY:The Distant Barking of Dogs
DESCRIPTION:Please join Meaningful Movies in Kirkland for The Distant Barki

10-year-old Ukrainian boy Oleg over a year\, witnessing the gradual erosi
on of his innocence beneath the pressures of the on-going war in Eastern U
kraine. Having no other place to go\, Oleg and his grandmother Alexandra s
tay and watch as others leave the village\, showing just how crucial - and
fragile - family is for survival.\n\nThis event is a collaboration with P
OV\, the award-winning independent non-fiction film series on PBS (www.pbs
.org/pov).  The film is directed by Simon Lereng Wilmont.\n\nPlease regis
