Regenerating Community: Rid-All Green Partnership and Rising Rooted and Resilient.
PRESENTED BY: Meaningful Movies Spokane with UUCSPlease join Meaning Movies Spokane and Black Earth Day Spokane for our next film as we will be featuring Regenerating Community: Rid-All Green Partnership and Rising, Rooted and Resilient, a testament to the transformative power of resilience, community, and sustainable living.
This inspiring film tells the story of how Cleveland, Ohio’s “Forgotten Triangle” transformed in 2010 from a notorious, illegal dumping ground into a vibrant hub for urban farming, community wellness, and local pride. Regenerating Community is more than just a story about soil and seeds; it is about people reclaiming their neighborhood and restoring dignity.
As Jerry Millhon, Founder of Thriving Communities, stated: “As a filmmaker, my mission has always been to shine a light on stories that inspire, challenge, and transform. ‘Regenerating Communities’ is a film born from that mission, a testament to the power of hope and community spirit in the face of adversity.”
Please join us for this film highlighting community spirit and hope, followed by a stimulating discussion immediately after the screening.
We will be in a new location for this film. Carl Maxey Center. 3114 E 5th Ave, Spokane WA 99202
