“Promised Land” tells the story of the Chinook and Duwamish Tribes’ fight for federal recognition. We will be joined by Sam Robinson, Vice Chairman of the Chinook Nation and filmmakers Vasant and Sarah Salcedo for a post film discussion. Come find out the latest on the Chinook Nation’s legal battle and move to purchase land at Tansy Point. This showing is made possible by support from the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation,Β Ridgefield Community LibraryΒ andΒ Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
