Kaiya Yonamine\, is a call to stop the U.S. military from building a new m
ilitary base in Okinawa on top of a coral reef. This film documents Okinaw
an’s resistance to the construction of the base in Oura Bay. The ocean l
andfill work is destroying a thousand-year-old coral reefs- and other aqua
tic life in the bay\, including a manatee-like marine animal vulnerable to
extinction. This is a tragic waste of our environment &amp\; our tax doll
ars\, as well as a threat to racial justice and sovereignty.\n\nWill you h
elp protect the people and ocean at Henoko Bay\, Okinawa by supporting the
ir campaign to canceling the military base construction? Find out more how
you can help prevent this tragic waste at their website “Rise For Henok
o” website including the free documentary\, news stories\, and resources
for action including news\, and petition. Go to https://www.riseforhenoko
.com/\n\nThis event is free to the public\, although donations are appreci
