Join Meaningful Movies Tacoma & Gig Harbor for the free film screening followed by a community discussion around mental illness and the stigma that is unfortunately still too common, with special guests from the Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities (TACID).

Orchestrating Change Tells the inspiring story of Me2/Orchestra, the only orchestra in the world, created by and for people living with mental illness and those who support them. Co-founded by Ronald Braunstein, once a world-renowned conductor whose career was shattered when his diagnosis of bipolar disorder was made public. The mission of the orchestra is to erase stigma one exhilarating concert at a time. As they rehearse, perform, and prepare for a major concert, these extraordinary musicians have no idea how much the orchestra will change their lives in poignant and powerful ways.

If anyone from the Seattle area is making the trip to Tacoma to experience this film, I’m searching for a ride for up to two people.
I can’t help drive but am happy to contribute to gas, etc.

Hi Shannon! I’ll reach out to see if I can help arrange a ride for you and circle back. Otherwise, please register for the event and I can share the digital film file regardless so that you can view at your leisure if unable to make the event.
