Did you know that between 2016 and 2018, over 17 million names were purged from voter rolls across the U.S.?  As portrayed in the 2019 documentary “Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook,” voter roll purges are just one of many strategies used to suppress votes.

What is happening nationally and in our state to address voter suppression?   What can you do to help?  Find out on Sunday, September 27 from 12 noon – 1 p.m. during a Meaningful Movies at First Church online discussion of “Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook.”

At the event, we will hear from Sister Quincy Howard of Faithful Democracy and Kathy Sakahara from the Washington State chapter of the League of Women Voters. See below for more information about our guest speakers.

This virtual discussion is the second in a series of Meaningful Movies at First Church on voter suppression and what we can do about it.

Before the event, at your convenience, watch the film for free here.  When prompted, enter the password rigged.
