πŸŽ₯ The Event Meaningful Movies Tacoma, in collaboration with the Tacoma PCHD and Pierce County Opioid Task Force, invites you to a special screening of “Love in the Time of Fentanyl.” A poignant and impactful documentary that shines a light on the pressing issue of the opioid crisis and overdose awareness.

πŸ’” The Film Follows the lives of individuals and families affected by the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic, particularly the potent and dangerous drug, Fentanyl. Through personal stories, the film explores the challenges faced by those struggling with addiction, as well as the heart-wrenching journeys of their loved ones. The Overdose Prevention Society opens its doorsβ€”a renegade supervised drug consumption site that employs active and former drug users. Its staff and volunteers do whatever it takes to save lives and give hope to a marginalized community in this intimate documentary that looks beyond the stigma towards compassionate, sensible solutions.

🌟 Why You Should Attend Fentanyl deaths are an epidemic across many states in the US. It affects all ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes. We know that Fentanyl deaths and overall drug addiction are health emergencies draining available funds for treatment. This film not only raises awareness about the opioid crisis but also empowers us to engage in open conversations, understanding, and support for those battling addiction. By participating in this virtual screening, you are contributing to the broader conversation surrounding overdose awareness and the urgent need for change.
