Girl Rising is a groundbreaking feature film about the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to transform societies. This film follows nine girls from Haiti, Nepal, Ethiopia, India, Egypt, Peru, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan on their journey to education. The movie tells the stories of girls from different parts of the world who face arranged marriages, child slavery, and other heartbreaking injustices. Despite these obstacles, the brave girls offer hope and inspiration. By getting an education, they’re able to break barriers and create change. The film presents the remarkable stories of nine girls around the world, told by celebrated writers and voiced by renowned actors to deliver a simple truth: educate girls and you will change the world.
