SUMMARY:"Dolores" film screening and discussion
DESCRIPTION:Dolores Huerta is among the most important yet least known acti
vists in American history. An equal partner in co-founding the first farm
workers unions with César Chávez\, her enormous contributions have gone
largely unrecognized until recent years. Both Washington and California ha
ve set April 10th as Dolores Huerta Day in honor of her work.\n\nDolores t
irelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice alongside Chávez\, b
ecoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century. She co
ntinues the fight to this day\, at age 90. With intimate and unprecedented
access to this intensely private mother to eleven\, “Dolores” reveals
the raw\, personal stakes involved in committing one’s life to social c
hange.\n\nPlease register for the discussion on March 18th and you will re
ceive a link to watch the film. PBS Passport members can also view it at a
ny time.\n\nRegister for the discussion and film\n\nPresented by Meaningfu
