Now, more than ever, we need positive voices in the ecological crisis. Join the Meaningful Movies Project to see director Damon Gameau’s “exercise in fact-based dreaming.” Using only the solutions that are available to us today, Damon envisions a positive future for our children and the planet.

The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can mitigate, using the technology we already have, the enormous global issues we currently face. The main themes/solutions looked at in the film are empowerment of women and girls; marine permaculture and ocean regeneration; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy; and circular economy. It’s a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action. Please see the link to the trailer below.

The Meaningful Movies Project is making “2040” available to watch on your own. Watch the film and then we invite you to join us on April 21 at 7 pm on Zoom for this Spokane Earth Week community conversation.   The Zoom link will be included in the ticket confirmation from Eventbrite, and you will also be sent reminders from them and from us that will include it.
