 g Glass"
DESCRIPTION:Join Fix Democracy First and Meaningful Movies Project for a
  screening and discussion on democracy and the media with filmmaker Kevi
 n Bowe on his film\, "Democracy Through the Looking Glass: Politics &amp\;
  Media in the Post-Truth Era." This event is on Tuesday\, July 28th at 6pm
  PST.\n\n\nRegister for the event here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/r
 egister/WN_Nz5z6HiuT92lS8A4VWwOJg\n\nThis film addresses the universal pro
 blems about media and politics that frustrate people from all ideological
 viewpoints. "Democracy Through the Looking Glass" covers the national conv
 ersation around the 2016 presidential election\, rather than focusing on t

 s the evolution of traditional media models and their coverage of the run-
 up to the election. It also covers the very profound impact technology had
  in uniting and amplifying previously silent segments of society that domi
 nated political discourse during the campaign. Includes interviews of Bob
 Schieffer\, Harvard's Larry Lessig and Nicco Mele\, Boston Globe Editor Br
 ian McGrory\, NPR/Atlantic commentator Jack Beatty\, Virginia Sapiro and m
 ore.\n\nFor more info and to view the trailer visit: https://www.democrac
