CANCELLED: We have decided to follow recommendations to avoid assembling large groups of people for the time being.

The U.S. had an official policy to steal Wabanaki children from their homes and place them with white families so they could learn to “be white.” Children faced devastating harm from the adults attempting to remove and replace their culture. In Maine, the first Truth and Reconciliation Committee was formed. “Dawnland” follows the committee as it travels to the Wabanaki community to understand the truth and witness their healing.

This event is free to the public but donations are appreciated to cover our costs.
