WHRO and SpiritWorks Meaningful Movies present APART with the support of the Indie Lens Program! About the film: In a country leading the world in incarcerating women, meet three mothers fighting to rebuild their lives. Since the beginning of the War on Drugs, the number of women in U.S. prisons has grown drastically. The majority are mothers. APART follows three unforgettable, formerly incarcerated mothers, jailed for drug-related charges, fighting to overcome alienation—and a society that labels them “felons”—as they readjust to life with their families.
