SUMMARY:6 Inches of Soil
DESCRIPTION:6 Inches of Soil follows a new generation of British farmers wo
rking to transform the food system through regenerative agriculture. Set a
gainst mounting climate\, economic\, and ecological pressures\, the film h
ighlights how rebuilding healthy soil can restore ecosystems\, strengthen
local food networks\, and create more resilient rural communities. \n\nWhi
le the story is rooted in the UK\, the challenges it explores: soil degrad
ation\, industrial farming practices\, farmer financial strain\, and the n
eed for climate-resilient food systems—closely mirror those facing agric
ulture in the United States. Through personal stories and practical exampl
es\, the documentary shows how just six inches of healthy soil—the found
ation of our food system—can play a powerful role in addressing climate
 change\, biodiversity loss\, and food security.\n\nJoin us for a post-film
discussion with guest speakers from Tree Swallow Farm\, who will share in
sights into local\, regenerative farming approaches.\n\nMeaningful Movies
